Poems by Lawrence Carradini

The train ride near the river
always left me numb - my feet
would turn to ice.

The streamside train ride is tomorrow,
at the closing of my heart.
I didn't know I had a ticket.
I didn't want one. I do not.

The thought of it is freezing.

The thought of it.
I am getting
cold.
