(True Stories of the Trump Era, #20)
(for Bill & Bernadette)
It is raining on the town park
for the weekly Peace Vigil.
A grey-haired couple huddle
under one umbrella with signs
for peace & justice in the Trump Era.
A pick-up truck pulls up & stops,
the window rolls down.
What is the driver going to say?
“Here, you will need this,”
the driver says, hands them
an umbrella & drives off.
