from the top where the sleeve should be
put yourself in a world where no one is impressed 
your purity
your mixology
put yourself in a world where
     sheep are sheep & people are people
no one cares how big your arms are  
                                                           really

without an invisible something
my insides ache
they’ve always ached
someone’s somewhere maps the path
     out from our own collective stupid
exquisite alone
an ant stampede    
                            otherwise

it was definitely something i ate
i’ve eaten things before
i’m surprised you’re not more sensitive
there can’t only be one of us
