FALL/ WINTER 2008

William Heyen

CAPTAIN TIMEWARP

Travelers, you awaken into
Brooklyn, year of

eidolons, 1855, stopping
here briefly

to locate an odd-looking, self-published
book of poems

from a local illuminate who knew,
even then,

you’d come hankering for his non-
chalance & rapture.

William Heyen's Shoah Train: Poems was a finalist for the National Book Award in 2004. Etruscan Press will publish his new book, A Poetics of Hiroshima & Other Poems, in Fall 2008. He lives in Brockport, NY.
