TAKEN

In the ever   ever dark   mere absolutes
The taken moments sweep the living now
Heartbeat   known and sounding in the ear
Familiar avalanche of the particulars –
Hour glass   seed   rust on the prowl   stitch-
In-time unrehearsed cries for the missing
Blank the stare  no name upon the stone
Full mirror for the face   winked clear and gone
