FALL/WINTER 2012

Susan Marie LaVallee

CONFINED

One day
she felt
small as an island
compared to the sea
it sits
in
the
sun
in.

She remembered
one
night
when
(though there
was no closet
in the room)
she was
in one
like a broom.
