FALL/WINTER 2012

William Seaton

(untitled)

In Évora St. Francis’ grand old church
has chapels made of heaps of human bones
at rest, now settled after life’s long search.
They spoke with warm inviting tones,
And knowing more than Francis did of hell,
“We wait,” they say, “for you to come as well.”
