WINTER 2007

Blaise Allen
RODEO GIRL

It starts in a country western bar
we dance a two step
sneak off to meet
I am a wild mustang
wander fields out of the ring
canter and leap unbridled
I am a cowgirl
the one who takes the reins
wears chaps and spurs
I ride bulls hard
with one hand flapping
behind my head
airborne
for a long time
before the fall
