WINTER 2018-2019

GREAT LAKE BUILDING

Door to the world
A harmonious
Airport environment
Desperate search for self-determination.

Developers turned Conservation land
Into development.
There is an age- old risk
Of flooding.

We need an environmental impact statement
Handing over 500 acres ear marked
Conservation was a sign
A symptom of betrayal.

They said it was to improve ecology.
Polytechnic university and soccer fields
For the poor.
Things are changing.

Winter almost gone.
The plans have changed.
Mourning Doves perch precariously
On a white-birch limb.

They tried flood management.
No one bothered with an impact study…
Rows of narrow plots
Have not received money.

There were a lot of meetings.
Domesticate considerations
Will be the answer.
As of now emissions have not peaked.

In desperate search for self-determination
NY subways have the worst
On time performance
Of any Rapid transit system

In the world.
Problems run
Through it all:
Tracks trains and signals.
