These are not eyes
They are oceans
Deep - tumultuous.
I look at them
Like a survivor
Of a capsized
Vessel –
And plunge
Ever so deeply
Into these
Undulating waters
Peering up I see sunlight
Desperately I struggle
To the surface
To find myself ... Yet
once more … I look
You stare
I sink
Again ...
And
Again ...
