LOST IN A DREAM

I’m floating like a swan on a sea of purple velvet
Vapors as pearls hover above.
I’m eating salt-covered peanuts and drinking
Wine fit for a ritual party.
I pass a mermaid sitting on a dry rock,
While putting on lipstick she winks at me.
She sings beautiful songs of prayers,
That lift toward the heavens and send a shiver
Cascading down my spine.
Struggling to discover my life’s path. I’m lost in a dream.
