Robert Savino |
AGE OF CURIOSITY |
A gathering of gorillas race
palm and sole through the jungle
creating dust clouds of capture
for safari hunters who transfer
introverts to stone homes
with life-sized picture windows;
extroverts to traveling train cars
of performers with chain link
anklets and bracelets.
And I become curious, unfamiliar,
confused by complex patterns
of transformation, voices unrecognized,
gestures exchanged.
Some things I can identify with myself,
hanging from a tree by my bare feet.
