POLE DANCING IN DANTE’S INFERNO |
I said, hey little Phoenix
could you do that trick for me again—
you know the one—
where you die
and come back to life
from a nest of flames?
You know the way I like it
hot and steamy
filled with fire and franckenscence
I want you to tease me
with mirrh.
I want to eat your
flaming feathers like confections
you know the blue ones
the hottest ones
so hot they burn like ice
so hot they melt the furnace
Muses burning in the night sky—
Then you know the only thing that will turn me on
you know baby
you know the one
that’s it
that’s it
You have to die again
and again
and again
just the way I like it.
There’s no place in this world for our kind of fire.
You will always be mine—and never.
