POEM from Jim Deuchars
SHOULDERS

rush hour mad chicago
winter sunset honking
christmas yesterdays crowd
shouting bluesongs to the el
near union station pillars
bleary facing west perhaps
awaiting eastbound gauging
lake effect & killing time
but not upon a Rolek’s such as this

miscalculating countless
cabs in brandname colors
buses triple parking active shocking
sudden surreptitious doormen
ad hoc busted in their flat step smiles

claiming gifting free intent for helpful!

and the sake of weary traveler!

and I should mention christmas spirit!

and the wrong way river
