MARAUDERS COMING OUT OF THE DESOLATE TIBETAN PLATEAU

And the Gobi Desert in Outer
Mongolia would sneak up
on the sleeping camels under
a hunger moon and if those
huddled in sleep woke up
and were lucky, instead of
death or a kidnapping
after tumblers of date wine,
suddenly a Silk Road dance
party. The Swirl, performed
all along the silk road by
women and men,
and exciting, everyone
dancing together lightly with
life
