Jones Beach Field 10 Pier

Patched elbows
on my brother’s
plaid shirt. Fishing

rod hanging
over the pier.
My hair

blowing
across my eyes
frenzied in mist;

my father’s steady
hand, he calls
my name,

catches me
with the camera,
my mouth open.
